Welcome to my journey. This is the story of my travels. I am hitchhiking across the great lands of America. While the scenery has been stunning, I have found the greatest stories come from the people I encounter.
From questionable law enforcement, hungover Latinos, racist bumpkins, and wildly zealous religious folks, the stories keep presenting themselves. Interlaced with the stories, are pictures of the many localities I have passed through. Enjoy the oddballs, and the incredible vistas, that make our country a one-of-a-kind. The numbers you see under the pictures are coordinates. You can copy & paste the numbers into google maps to get a satellite view. Be sure to check out the Sound Off page. You can ask questions, offer advice, or simply read through what other people have posted. If you would rather send me a private message, use the Contact Me page. |
To those whom have shown me your compassion and generosity,
It is impossible to express an appropriate amount of gratitude. Traveling without the promise of resources is difficult, and requires a great deal of faith.
Personally, I have intentionally put my faith into my fellow humans. While I hold absolutely no expectations of charities, and refuse all concepts of entitlement, the people I have encountered during my journey have been amazingly generous. From rides to home-cooked meals, $20 bills to simply being asked if I was okay, every act of generosity and kindness has reinforced my faith in you, the people.
Although my faith is placed in the people, I also understand there are many prayers uttered on my behalf.
Thank you for helping me along my road. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts.
Gratefully Yours,
Bill
